You can get it in Starbuck's and Mac D's - because of the fact that bandwidth in Thailand is expensive most wifi networks tend to be secured so you can't just hitch onto an open one as you can in the west. _________________ I've got a bad feeling about this |

| Yes we’re spoilt here in Lux, the local authorities have put over fifty free hotspots in the streets and many bars and restaurants also have it. In Hua Hin the only one I managed to use was in Market Village and that wasn’t free. |

Make sure the laptop you are sending her is wifi ready (has a wifi card built in) I am about 3k from the shop and get a good signal, but I am quite high up, which has a bearing. If she gets the laptop that is wifi ready, and a signal is strong the computer should tell her. She can connect to it and see where it is coming from and then visit the establishment to buy a pre paid card. There are several places in town that offer wifi.... |
Randy,
I'm fairly new to this wi-fi thing. I will be staying about 2 mins walk from the shop described in aa's post. I'll be around the corner from Burger King. Does a connection sound feasible please? _________________ Green Army position 21
