Who does have the best Steak in town?

I have the answer: the three best steaks I have so far tried in HH are, on the scale of 0 - 10,
ten being absolutely, heavenly perfect, are:

1. Cafe de Paris Chateaubriand 8.5 pts
2. El Murphy Beefsteak 7 pts
3. Sizzler Beefsteak 5 pts

There are several restaurants of repute I have not yet tried. As of yet I have not gotten even a
halfway decent steak in any Thai restaurant. Some of the chewy bits T've been offered help me
understand why the name of the place ends in -rant.
However, the Quest continues.

Try Sara Janes and Buff Bills

Make sure you tell them how you want it cooked

In fact if the boss is there tell him/her how you want it cooked

They may even allow you in to the kitchen to supervise/oversee!!!!! Cheers

Please bear with me, I must adjust The List due to a very pleasant recent experience:

The four best steaks I have so far tried in HH, on the scale of 0 - 10,
ten being absolutely, heavenly perfect, are:

1. Cafe de Paris Chateaubriand 8.5 pts
2. Natta Rest't Chateaubriand 8 pts
3. El Murphy Beefsteak 7 pts
4. Sizzler Beefsteak 5 pts

Some of the chewy bits I've been offered help me
understand why the name of the place ends in -rant.
However, the Quest continues.[/quote]

As an alternative go to Hua Hin Ham and Bacon Co and buy a large Argentina Angus Rib Eye for about Bht220, Take it home and cook it in a hot pan to your choice. This only takes about 5 mins and is absolutely delicious. I think this is the only shop in HH that imports Angus beef. Then go out for the rest of the evening and your pocket will not be so light. I am not much of a steak eater and it is something I order perhaps once a year and am further not fussy about how it is cooked. . medium, rare, well done. . I don't much care.

We ate at the Chicago Grill at the Marriott two nights ago. . .on an open coupon (which does not happen often either) and I ordered the rib eye steak. It was absolutely wonderful. ..light and tender and flavored just right. ( I should eat steak more often!) My spouse ordered some other cut of steak and it was a bit tough though.

As an aside, the ambiance there is just terrific! They have recently redecorated and if you want upscale elegance it is just the ticket. Muted lighting, red walls with black and white photographs, easy classic pop in the background, white linen, etc great service. ( No I don't have a stake in the place. .though I had a steak!)

Tried El Murphy's last night

Tried the Ribs last time and Ok

Had a fillet mignon with garlic butter sauce

Steak was tender although I prefer my steak rarer (blue almost so the blood makes a fine gravy mix

Both with the ribs and the steak I found the sauces a bit too thick for me. I'm a fan of thin gravy with all my meals. Not sure I can get that across to the staff

Still very good though and service good

No smoking policy in force

Music a bit bland and although some good renderings 'puff the magic dragon' made me laugh

The Chateaubriand sounds good but the wife(Isaan) doesn't eat beef. What are their other steaks like?

Doesn't really matter though. I have a small appetite and tend to eat as much as I want and then get a take away, calve it very thin and make beef sarnies for lunch. I always dress with sliced onions and cucumber soaked in a mix of vinegar and sugar and salt (strange Yorkshire habit)

Also anybody know where you can get them blue to rare? and they know what you are talking about

Sure Buffalo bills can do providing he's there to explain
