Who checks out the bars

Been reading all the letters in the forum who checks out all the bars Lev seems to be busy doing other things and is not too sure where some bars are. Would love a discussion on how Club 99 is the third best bar in town been past on many occasions early and late and it's always empty, next door has got 8 girls and you only rate that as a 3, think you need to a little bit more indapendant.

As has been stated several times before in other posts bars change, staff come and go, and i cant physically get to every bar every night to check it out. admitedly you're right about C99, it used to ba a good late night one a couple of months back but isnt anymore, i'll amend its ratings.

We always need more research and the concept to this website was to create a broad guide from the opinions of locals and visitors (ie. not just me and my 'research team' Wink

). if you'd like to do a bit of research for us then i'd be only too happy to oblige!

As for next door i assume you mean Octopussy bar? I have been in there a couple of times recently and although there are several girls working there, they didn't seem too 'approachable' or friendly, maybe they just knew me :lol: . The girl rating is for 'sanuk' and overall service, not just quantity. I found Coconuts a little further on better.

Thank you your reply to my question. And thank you for ignoring my view I and several of my friends including a large proportion of our colinal cousins find this to one of the better bars in town how on earth it rates in the same as the likes of Miama bar, Willo a guest house and Sewan a steak house mistifies more than a few of us. As you said in your reply it is just not my view or that of my reseach team that counts. So if the girl rating is about Sanuk does that mean if a girl smiles says hello and brings you a beer and a glass this bar rating will be higher than one with twenty girls?
Re waiting for boyfriends in Celtic been in twice last week and that Guy was right if they told him they were waiting for their boyfriends how does that translate to being aproachable and friendly (Sanuk?) Don't want to become the moaner ,but you have to look at everyone not just the ones where we see you drinking.
One last point is this bar guide stricly for Guys a rating for cocktails or similar would get the girls and wifes interested in where to go

Was in Octopussy last night, nice place, great music system and all the staff had the same uniform on which made them look like schoolgirls Twisted Evil

Hey if we all rated the same place, there would be an almighty stampede to the "best bar in town" !! I'm certainly in favour of a reliable and updated rating "league" - it keeps the also-rans honest........!! Rolling Eyes
