Has anybody had experience with thai embassies/consulates in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, or Hong Kong? Which offers the best "customer service?"

Hong Kong are OK as long as you have the requisite paperwork. Got a 3 month there a year ago, no probs. In fact, the lovely girl even tried to get me a year's visa (multi entry), but was told 'no-go' by her superior because they only give (or certainly then) single entries. But she tried - off her own back, as well. I certainly didn't ask.
Drop your paperwork off one day (I think before 12 midday, can't remember) & get your visa the next. Easy. And very central & easy to find - right above an MTR station. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? It may not apply to you, HHD, but Singapore have been reasonable of late if you're married to a Thai. They ask for proof of 400k Baht in any bank account, anywhere and will then issue a multi-entry Non O (you also need marriage certificate, copy of spouse's ID card and tabien bahn).
There are reports now that they're not quite as liberal with these visas as they were a month ago, but I havn't experienced it myself.
As a rule of thumb, I reckon you can say the neighbouring countries will be reluctant to give multi Os now. There are always exceptions to this though.
Vientienne have been good with double-entry Tourist visas lately, but there's no guarantee of how long it will last. Other missions will generally only issue single entry TVs. _________________ "I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered". George Best. |

Thanks for the feedback, all. It looks like Hong Kong is the place to go, plus I found a cheap return airfare there. I'll review my experience there if I end up taking the trip.
