Would you advice us to stay outside of city center? How is the transportation to outside hotels? Are there buses that will fit her carriage?

Any hotel suggestions are welcome!

Max 3000 baht.

The Jed Pee Nong is really nice. Children ( and girlfriend ) friendly.
1500 Baht for a poolside double.

There are also some family type guest houses about 1 km south of the down town area. The soi is locally referred to "Soi Thipurai" but I'm not sure if this is the real name. There are several guest houses with a common pool and it's next to the best beach area in town. Prices are below 1,000 baht/night.
