| Things I have brought in the past have been quality white chocolate, genuine jeans, any cheap made in europe teeshirts.....always popular. french perfumes or make up or body lotion. Thais love european gold often as its more delicate being stronger, for instance makes delicate ankle bracelets. |

I once brought a Thai friend back a t-shirt from Ireland, nice, polo style.. he loved it and wore it almost every time we met.
I would suggest that you get something that cannot be found in Thailand.. I have also brought chocolates over. Big tins of Roses. Went down really well.
It depends on who the gift is for.
I bought my girlfriend's mum a silver handbag type thing from Laos and she loved it.
Food prducts are great. Unusual food that cannot be found in Thailand... The Thais I know like Vietnamese food. |

| I've asked several thais if there was anything they wanted from the UK and nearly every time the answer is genuine football shirts(usually chelsea, man utd or England) This can work out quite expensive if you have a few to buy at £45 a shirt so now i usually just bring clothes from somewhere like debenhams or next. They always seem genuinely pleased to recieve anything you bring [/quote] |

Bubbly,
Buy the shirts in Bangkok when arriving back. They won't know the difference
But my first thought to the original question was football shirts _________________ Why does my head feel so bad why does my soul feel so bad - Moby (Dick)

When I was courting my now wife I used to bring her genuine Harrods bags (and no, I don't mean carrier bags either before someone calls me keaneo!!!)
They were always greatly received and she often gave them to her friends in BKK as birthday prezzies, as, being genuine, they carry a great deal of kudos amongst ladies. |
