Oh Dear there will be leaves on the railway track next .Or perhaps the first frost will kill our daffodils .
Forgive my cynicism but in the 16 years I have been passing through Hua Hin the area between the centre of town and soi 112 floods at the lower ends of the sois .Petchkasem road provides a barrier to protect the hotels and condominiums on that stretch from flooding .Add this to the mountains behind and my partners 8 year old daughter could figure out not to buy a property in that area as it will FLOOD .Development has not helped I agree but water will always flow downhill and settle at the lowest point .
Anyone in the flood zone can either wait for the government to sort it out or get an unscrupulous agent to sell your house in the dry season .Instead of buying an igloo in the desert with the proceeds perhaps consider a new home on higher ground or behind the mountain ridge .The land is cheaper, the area does not flood and you get a nice afternoon breeze in hot season .Does 10 minutes to tescos instead of 5 make that much difference once a week ?If it does get a condo on the beach and post a thread complaining about sand between your toes |
