Car Insurance:
Not easy to give test quotes for car insurance. All depends on the type of the car, the no claim bonus, can we use discount options like named drivers on the policy, a deductible etc. Every car insurance is tailor made. We work in partnership with many insurance companies in Thailand, but when it comes to foreigners things like good service and back-up in English and efficient claim handling (apart from a good coverage) are usually much more important than the lowest premium.
You’re always welcome to have your present policy checked by us to see if we can get you a better deal.

House insurance:
House insurance is more easy. If we look at a general house with no antique or expensive works of art and no risk for flooding, I can give some example premiums. The mentioned sums insured are for building and contents.

For this you will have coverage for fire, earthquake, windstorm, lightning, water leakage, electricity short circuit, burglary, public liability at the premises and more.

Health care insurance:
We provide health care insurance from a broad range of companies, as well from Thailand as from abroad. Plans that cover almost everything for 100 % and cheaper limited plans are available. Below some example ages with a very cheap option and the very best option:

30: 2,528 - 18,450

50: 3,573 - 31,813

80: on application - 72,553

Prices for the best option are for inpatient only with no deductible and guaranteed lifetime renewable. Also these premiums are calculated by the present currency rates since some are in euro or dollars.

Hi Matt,

I'd be interested in a quote for home insurance. My wife and I live in China and own a small property on the Hua Hin Pavilion Estate (around 4Km from the Black Mountain Golf Club). Currently we visit for around 6 weeks of the year and plan to lease/rent. At the moment it does stand empty for the majority of the year, but our expat next door neihbour is a full-time resident and looks after the property.

3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house, detached, fully furnished with swimming pool - land area approx 240m2. House and contents value 3.5-4 million Baht. Property is on secure estate.

Any added security requirements etc. for coverage?

Renting out your house:
If you rent out your house, the house and your contents/personal belongings are insured. The belongings of the tenant are usually not insured under a house insurance policy.
