The gardener assures me he's not poisonous so I'm leaving him up there to eat mice and bugs... :thumb:

I think it's the old rat snake once again, just a more mature version.

I have to comment also that every kid in Thailand wears the same school socks. I need to get my foot in that door so to speak. :D  Pete

Mr.P, had the snake been dispatched at that point or was your daughter (I presume) having a kip with it?
I think it is a rather long rat snake as they do seem to be plentiful in the area.

Yes, definitely dispatched.

My concern is where are the offspring? We've found 3 shed skins from babies so far.

If you determine that it is indeed only a rat snake and not a poisonous snake, you should welcome them onto the property as they take care of unwanted vermin.

Considering the reaction I get from some posters, that'll be me.

I couldn't bring myself to kill it the first time and was severely admonished. With a child and pets around, you can understand her protective instincts going into overdrive.

Does anybody know what snake this could be? At least 1 m long and very thin (like a pencil) and very green.

I assume it could be one of the many kinds of rat snakes, but I did not find such a thin snake in the fotos of http://www.ratsnakes.com/gallery.html

I've asked Mrs BB, and she reckons that type of Green Snake is very venomous - but then again, she is very afraid of all snakes so may be over-cautious.

She may be correct. Usually when their head is much bigger than the rest of their body (diameter) they are venomous.

Pitch; to me, this snake looks like a Golden Tree Snake.
Not dangerous and nothing to worry about.
