It will vary according to the hospital. There are expats who have had that type of surgery done, so hopefully they will come along with a guide to costs. But personally I would say go for the best - and also is the removal of the moles etc essential? Do you have a diagnosis? Have they changed at all or just something you've grown up with?
Sorry to sound negative, but some doctors at home might advise leaving well alone, whereas some in Thailand may not.

Hi

There's no need to go to a hospital. There are plenty of business around Hua Hin that do it, I had mine done in Bangkok. Very simple and very quick, each one depends on size, which they measure and charge accordingly. The area is applied with cream to numb the mole/wart/age spot, and then they laser it, you don't feel a thing. There;s apparently one on the 3rd floor in Market Village now, but most of the beauty type shops can do this.

Good Luck

I had three suspicious looking moles removed at Bumrungrad years ago. They did not use laser but cut them out so they could send them to the lab for biopsy report. It's been so long that I don't remember the cost but I remember being surprised at how much it was as I had had similar procedures performed in the U.S. at a lower cost.

hi thanks for some information. the skin condition is called Neurofibromatosis and each mole/lump or lesion as they call them in the trade are about the size of a pea and previous ones i have had removed have required 3 stitches in each. I am going for a private consultation next week but if the cost is silly money might think about getting it done in Thailand maybe Bunrungrad.

I used google to search for Neurofibromatosis images. Bad idea, unless one wants to see extreme cases. I didn't.

My trips to Bumrungrad ended a couple of years ago when I discovered St. Louis Hospital on Sathorn Rd. in Bangkok. They are a privately owned not for profit hospital sponsored by the Catholic Church and IMO have the same level of care (or better) for half the price. My wife had semi-serious surgery there (5 days hospital stay) and they were outstanding in every way at half the cost estimated for the same surgery by Bumrungrad when I called them. I go there now for my health checkups which are also half the cost of the private "for profit" hospitals in Bangkok and just as thorough.
