The scooterists of thailand are holding a rally in chaing mai
@ central airport plaza 18 / 19 ( to celebate the 10 year bakery part 3)
it doesnt make sence to me either but loads of fun and scooters will be there
all in aid of schools in chaing mai area
this event is only for people who have a passion for small wheels
live music from 10 year bakery playing 4pm til 12
all proceed to buy equipment for schools

I received a text message this morning from a freind in bangkok who informs me that the British embassy has asked for people of western origin willing to give blood donations please do so at their nearest red cross hospital
Esspecialy group A - and O groups
there is a big shortage and demand due to recent events on the west coast of Thailand
IT TAKES AROUND 30 mins and DOESN'T HURT !!!!!
The red cross hospital in HUA HIN is behind the local tessa ban building at the main traffic lights on Petchkasem Rd (oppsite the SATUKARN SQUARE)

We have run for foundation Dhamma and Art at Lum phun before Cheing -mai ,
Mr Inson Wongsam(Artist) he,s owners foundation.He ride scooter lambretta li 150 ser 2 from BKK to Italy in 1963 (16 mount on scoot)u can see at main manu of thaiscooterclub and now present with him story at Haripunchai musiem art of Lumphun, or see at http://flywithmeproject.org project art of Mr Navin (Artist) .About mid year I go to meet him and bring story present in motorcycle Magazine .We talk with him for his foundation , and arrange for run to take money for his foundation at Lumphun .
Please you can join with us ,because we have the big meeting for arrange the big Scooter jumboree in the end of this yaer and the other activity scooter in BKK .

The local scooter club have a trip to Samui -planed in early feb

What are the average montly prices for hiring a scooter? And what are the license requirements? I mean I only have an Austrian drivers license for cars.....

As for you license I presume your Aussie license give a provisional entitlement for motor cycle as in the Uk?

If you have experience with vespa or lambretta motor scooters there is no problem

If not we will run through the INS and out with you within minutes

Please keep in mind these are machine of over a 25 year old vintage and are aimed more at people with prior experience on genuine Italian scooters and a passion for small wheels

and as a novelty holiday experience, rather than having to ride a plastic fantastic which feels like a ride on a jelly on 2 wheels

And i presume you're fine with EU licence, as far of driving history on Vespa's, i have quite a bit of it (Uncle used to have one in Finland, 175CC from the 70's if i remember correctly, lovely thing to drive on a summers day Smile
