Nevets....sorry mate, bad day at the office and all that.
If you have ginger hair and come from N Wales or the N West then there is a chance you are "genetically" a norseman's descendant. .... some uni did a genetic scan with the beeb a few years ago and found out that the ginger haired people in those areas share a common gene thread with norse invaders that got stranded on the coast there.
All these thousands of people could all be traced back to 20 blokes who got lost in a boat wearing horny hats.....mad eh?
the real test is if you have a hat with horns on it I suppose

Kendo
couldnt be less surprised mate....typical of our age Im afraid.
The overuse and devaluation of the work "hero" got out of hand post 9/11 when Bush and the mayor of New York, along with every emotive newsreader and paper publisher across the globe started calling all the firemen, police, medical crews etc at the scene "heroes".
....eeerrrr sorry mate....but isnt it a fireman's JOB to run into burning collapsing buildings and save people, endangering themselves to do that? Doing your JOB doesn't make you a hero....a person to admire and thank profusely for the fact they are braver than me yes, but a hero...definitely that would be a big no.
Heroes win the VC.
Heroes win the Nobel Peace Prize.
now it just seems everyone and their dog are heroes........its a shame as real heroes are now lumped in with the plebs like us who are just doing their jobs. _________________ If I can't smoke and swear I'm f****d!

kendo,
It looks like the UK is losing it's language as well, judging by your last post. Also can everyone refrain from bringing up the issue of immigration in the UK on any thread that is even remotely linked to it (and it's a bit of a stretch on this thread!)?
