Terms of Usage and Conditions of Service

All forums are post moderated; however, this dialogue is a cooperative endeavor. To maintain an environment conducive to quality, please agree to the following few basic guidelines and requests before using the message board:

By using this forum, you agree to abide by the following simple common sense rules:

1. You certify that you are 13 years of age or over. All those individuals under 13 years of age will need a full release form from their parents before posting any messages. This is in compliance with the Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act of 2000 (COPPA).

2. Nicknames that we feel are inflammatory, vulgar, promotional, or offensive will be asked to change. Multiple accounts are not permitted unless approved by the Administrator.

3. Commercialized promotional posts are NOT ALLOWED however guidance in the way of a reply may be tolerated, it is down to the discretion of the moderator to decide what is acceptable. We do not allow ANY links or promotional posts for real estate agents or property other than our own.

4. Always be respectful of other users, the system, and the moderators. We put the board online in good faith, please use it in good faith.

5. Be descriptive, specific, and succinct in your postings. This way your opinion and point is clearly understood and referenced. Remember, people from all over the world read here with English as a second language.

6. Because your posting may be more pertinent to another on going discussion, or it might spawn its own thread, it may be moved as HHAD sees fit.

7. Before posting in a forum, please read the frequently posted topics section as it is often likely that your question has already been answered. Also make use of the search function as many topics are now being repeated.

8. Discussion on Thai monarchy is strictly forbidden. Political topics are permitted however they will be closely monitored.

9. Any on site private discussions (PM) with moderators or administrators related to board policy or actions may be shared with administrators if we feel it is necessary. Republication of PMs on the public board is not advised however maybe tolerated depending on the circumstances, again down to the discretion of the Admin. Differences of opinion are nothing to do with HHAD or its staff and should remain between the parties concerned regardless of their status on this board.

10. Please try to stay within the topic area of the forum you are posting a message in, and within any topic that another poster may have started.

11. You agree not to hold HHAD or its members liable for anything stated within the forums.

12. Flaming: flaming or personal attacks are not allowed or tolerated. Should anyone use inappropriate language, start a personal attack, or engage in hate speech, they will be banned from all further discussions. It is forbidden to make accusatory or slanderous comments against any other member without substantiated evidence to back up the claim.

13. The forums are not a venue for business promotions in any way. It will be the sole discretion of HHAD and its moderators as to what constitutes an advertisement, this applies to all members regardless of whether they are site sponsors or not. If you genuinely wish to advertise you are welcome to contact us or visit our Media Kit for full details and options.

14. You will not copy and retransmit any information out of these forums without first getting the permission of the original author of the message and a HHAD administrator.

15. Discussions about moderator or administrator actions are welcome in email or local private messages, but should not be discussed in public forums. This is out of respect for the members and moderators or policy involved.

16. Self promotional URL drops and whisper campaigns are strictly forbidden within the forums and will be edited out.

17. Messages posted at this site are the sole opinion and responsibility of the poster.

18. Personal exposure. Anyone posting another persons or members personal details without permission will be banned.

19. When a message is placed in any forum system, you are granting a soft license to the site to use it.

20. Privacy policy. We strictly forbid the naming of forum members, businesses in Hua Hin, and girls who work in bars in a derogatory or exploitative manner out of respect for their privacy.

21. Access to the private area is ONLY granted if the member has made 30 or more posts and remains down to the discretion of the Administrator.

22. Linking policy. What we allow in terms of outgoing links and URL's is soley down to the discretion of HHAD staff. We have had dealings with certain establishments and websites therefore some we favour and some we don't, we do not expect arguments regarding this. Links to competing websites or forums will also not be tolerated and will be edited.

23. Abuse of the Private Message system by means of business self promotion or spamming other members will not be tolerated and will result in the service being disabled.

For our part we will do our best to protect your privacy and respect your posts. We will not edit or otherwise misrepresent what you write without cause.

We reserve the right to edit any and all content that has been placed on HHAD.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service from time to time without notice and are retro active.
