Well done ...another classic from the "Septic Tank Pete ".. I think the Korean one is smarter..but thats just the opinion of everyone outside of America so we all must be wrong )..I guess any comments that you don't like Pete are akin to an attack on the USA....but then again..the USA is always right....get a life mate and keep you nationalistic jingoismn to yourself......nobody cares that you are septic...so bin it... |

I'm not GW's biggest fan by quite a long way, but I have to say Kim Jung Il doesn't really do it for me either. As a non-American outside the US, I'd quite like to speak for myself, ta v. much. Of course, there's quite a big Scottish influence in the British government at the moment. That's the one in England, not the little one in Scotland. _________________ Never argue with a man carrying a water buffalo... |

Excuse me? The thread is about Sunloungers, not American foreign policy, Korea or personal attacks on members.
If you wish to start a thread about US foreign policy or nationalistic tendencies, big jimmy, please do so in Foo. I wouldn't carry on with the personal attacks, though, as that could be construed as flaming, and as we all know, that is against t&c's.
Can we please keep this thread on topic and leave the name-calling for the playground? Thank you. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832

This is pathetic. Would never have believed a thread about 'sunloungers' could generate so much crap.
Big Jimmy and Pete. You both show that you don't have a life worth living. By even responding, I'm in danger of joining you two in your non-lives.
Let's get back to being 'grown up'. Is that possible? |

Why are so many threads degenerating like this, these days? One was closed for this sort of thing earlier this week.
Please only answer the OP's question, or make comments on the merits of different types of sunloungers on this thread. There have been enough personal comments made, already. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832

Well said Dawn.
I detect a noticable undercurrent of "hate" here in this community mostly by "the queen's people." Which I attribute to this saying: The farther up the tree the monkey climbs, the more you see his ass.
On sunloungers. I once saw some rattan ones for sale on the street down by the flyover. Has anyone an opinion as to their durability and comfort?
Price?

What about stainless steel and fabrics ?
Price higher, yes, but light and with little maintainance they will stay around for years...
If i find a way to post a pic, i'll show some... _________________ Please sign here even it is in Thai and you do not have any clue what it states... |

Plastic fabrics and cloth fabrics deteroriate pretty fast when left out in the sun. Aluminum and steel tubing needs to be pretty heavy to be strong enough to hold up to abuse. Once tubing "kinks", it almost impossible to repair.
Plastic .. really needs to be heavy duty to hold up to "heavy" use. Try heavy duty wooden ones _________________ Beware of unprovoked comments! |

Hi We have these same Rattan loungers and for what we paid, they are great.
We got them last May, they are outdoors all the time and have come to no harm, in the sun wind & rain, except for fading a little.
They are extremely comfortable, when lying on your back but they are no good for lying face down.
We are both rather hefty ( diet starts tomorrow) and they are very sturdy.
Whatever you buy, happy sunbathing, and dont forgrt your suncream
Prost

Just through Khao Takiab on the right there are wood and thatched roofed bars and little restaurants I think the last one at the end there?s an old guy making Teak and other hard wood sun loungers.
Not to expensive. Try there. |
