I know that Springfield has 27 holes.
I also think they are named as A, B & C.
Does anyone know which is which? i.e. is the new 9 "C"?
Have looked on the web site but can't find the info.
Cheers

| From what the guys who play there say the new 9 are not particularly good yet, they were played to early and condition is no where near. The layout is difficult but they offer no discount for playing a sub standard new course - typical. |

I agree .
The new 9 were opened in Nov/dec 2005, I played them in dec , some Fairways were damaged due to downpour at the end of monsoontime.
In Feb, the condition was getting better allready. I will see next week how they are now.
The layout is very challenging. Risk is awarded, precision is needed as well as length. |

Thanks for that.
I have never played "C" but it sounds like I should wait a bit.
I would be interested to hear how it is playing when you have played it bj.
Cheers

Hi All
I did end up playing 'C' once (due a cock up in the booking).
To be fair I enjoyed it. It is long and you need to drive pretty well. Also the walk between holes is a bit far in some cases. This can make it pretty tiring especially if it is the second 9.
The only real down side is that there is a lot of sand on the fairways (especially on the approaches to the greens) which makes a decent short game a challenge to say the least.
There is also not a lot of shade and I noticed that a couple of the mature trees that are there had been ripped out by the storm at the weekend
