|

Don't try getting to the immigration office today as Soi 102 has got about 1.5 foot of water in parts. The storm this afternoon was a cracker havn't heard thundering and lighting that loud before! Pity the people down some of the small sois off 102 as they will definetely have floods in house. |

| I've got some photos of the flooding elsewhere in the town yesterday and there's some cracking stuff. I think a boat might have been more use than my bike! |

I'm about ready to come down from BKK. Are these heavy rains frequent? How long do they last. It rained hard here yestrday evening. If it looks like prolonged hard rain, we may head to the NE and then to HH instead of HH first then the NE.
Any suggestions or jsut take our chances? |

Difficult to say, but today has started off brightly enough. It's muggy though. We're probably getting the same as you in BKK. _________________ "I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered". George Best. |

Tell me about it. I was planning on ringing up some mates back in England from poolside and wind them up discussing the lovely hot weather and how hard an ordeal it is coping with the sun and the lovely food and the pool.. then that happened. Put a bit of a dampener on things! |

Going back to the O.P. at the top O this page...a guy told me the
other day that plans have been passed for a super new road up to the
immagration orafice, including the flattening of certain buildings and dwellings to create this.
Dunno the truth behind it, but this fella seemed certain about it all...?? |

| When I first moved to soi 102 there was plenty of marshland to soak up the rains at the end of the season. Now this marshland has been filled in the run-off still has to find some other place to go. A small element of advance city planning would have recognised this potential problem. Hua Hin has the potential to do things right and to get things right. I hope! |

Are the Laguna development houses under water or is it closer to the main road? _________________ Call a place paradise - kiss it goodbye |

| Good luck on trying to get to the new Immigration office, with the land that surrounds it, they might want to build a lite plane landing strip, instead of more frang houses, and have a charted service to fly people into the office. |
