The HHAD team have been pondering on a sister site for some time now. The original concept would be a Hua Hin After Dawn site which would cover daytime activities and guides to Hua Hin. After a lot of research we put this aside as there are already plenty of Hua Hin guides out there and a lot of the info is already covered on this site.
We're looking for suggestions from our readers and contributors here for a concept for a sister site for HHAD. It does not necessarily need to be about Hua Hin but it would make the research easier. So get your thinking caps on and throw us a few ideas.

For those of us who"Burn the midnight oil" ,there has to be sections on :-
1.Hangovers,cures and durations.
2.Sleep,durations,and quality.
3.How to wake her up,and get her out the door ,politelyand quickly.
4.Restaurants that serve breakfast all day.(Full English). |

Not sure about the need for a sister site - at the moment the forum is quite neatly divided up and subject headings well defined. I do think however that the site has gradually moved away from it's original focus of providing a comprehensive review of the 'After Dark' related activities in town. This is of course a direct result of the success and expansion of the site, which has to be thoroughly congratulated for the diversification of information available.
Getting back to the 'After Dark' theme I would quite like to see the following headings added, if possible:
Bars
I know Lev can't get round all the bars on a regular basis but I'm sure there would be no shortage of volunteers to provide regular and up to date reports - I really think increased and accurate reportage of the scene would be very popular.
Girls
Before anyone says anything, I completely agree with the policy of anonymity. I do however think that there's plenty to discuss here and the many related issues - I personally think at the moment there's a reluctance to post under this heading, partly due to the diversification of the site.
Field Reports
Not advocating the unbridled detail of some of the other Forums reports, but it would be nice to hear what some of the guys are getting up to in and around town - sure there's many a story to tell.
Whether these can be accomodated under the current site is a matter for you Lev - I do think it's something a lot of guys would like to see though.
Anyone else be interested in this kind of thing? _________________ Never trust a hippy.... |

Some good thoughts there.
We have had the "submit your bar review" form on the site for a while now and have had one or two results, most people however use it to complain about the current reviews which is totally counter productive. People find it easier to say something bad than to complement ... human nature I guess.
I've been thinking about adding another category (a little more spicy than the current ones - similar to what has already been mentioned here) but only for privileged members such as those that have made a significant number of posts. This will encourage existing members to contribute a little more and offer those that have a little bit extra. |

Yeah, I agree completely about the bar review section - I think the problem is that most guys concentrate on a few bars in town and get to know them pretty well - they then take issue when someone else's review of their local haunts doesn't match up to their own assessment.
We need a few regular reviewers who can hopefully cover a wide range of bars - the more regular the updates, the more accurate the info, the less guys will moan about the reviews. And if they do disagree....why don't they respond with an update of their own. Makes sense.
Your idea for a new section sounds the biz - how many chillis were you thinking of adding?
I agree that the guys who regularily post to the forum should be given priority but I think there's also the need to give guys who may have something to add a chance to contribute.
How about setting up a separate registration open to all - if there's a lack of contribution the membership could be deleted? _________________ Never trust a hippy.... |
