|
Was having a chat with one of the other moddys yesterday as we drove to the beach. Most of the conversation was about traffic and general driving since we encountered our fair share of road idiots on this short journey.
Anyway discovered this stats website and found this one particularly disturbing:
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/mor_car_occ_inj_in_oth_and_uns_tra_acc
Not sure how reliable those stats are though.
Food for thought. |

That's terrible.
Thaksin went public last week on the issue and told the police forces to start implementing the already pretty adequate driving laws.
A noble sentiment that I'm sure all of us would like to see work. Whether the old bill actually do anything about it is another matter.
The financial loss to the country in terms of work days lost through injuries and medical/hospital costs must be horrendous.
That dosn't take into account the pain and suffering of family and friends left behind. _________________ "I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered". George Best. |
