Condochain or Sport Villa? Not sure how much though. _________________ "I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered". George Best. |

Hi John,
I stayed in Sport Villa for a few months recently. Can recommend it. Cost me 8,000 a month. 3,000 Baht refundable deposit. Electric and water extra (1,000 - 2,000 mainly depending on use of airco). Swimming pool free. Gym 40 Baht per session (a bit ramshackled though). Internet acces is good (40 Baht/hour). Laundry service with regular prices. Good restaurant. 10 Baht bus downtown available (if you prefer).
Cheers, see you soon. _________________ We are all living in 'the good old days' of the future. |

I think that if you benchmark condos against Hilton, Sport Villa as well as Condochain wll make you disappointed. Perhaps you'd better look at condos like Baan Chai Talay or Baan San Saran on the south side or Palm Pavillion on the north side. They are nicer but of course also more expensive. Make a Google search on those names and find agencies who give rental services to condo owners in those places.
Good Luck! |

| plans have changed, now looking at coming next year in low season, probably july/august. my wife wants house or condo on the beach close to everything and has to be similar standard to hilton re furnishings etc. so if anyone knows somebody who wishes to rent there place out privately please let me know. price while important will not be the major factor if the other criteria set out by the boss can br met. maybe a penthouse or similar |

Condo Chain or Sport Villa would certainly disappoint, then. Sport Villa is actually outside the main town and on the wrong side of the main road from the beach.
Most rooms in Condo Chain have old cheap furnishings. However, there are some large units on the end closest to the beach with huge balconies. One of them might be up to Hilton standard - you could ask the staff. |
