Hi Dude; I think you will struggle to find Theakstons. It’s not from Newcastle either; it comes from Masham in the Yorkshire Dales, where you also find Black Sheep, another marvelous beer!

I'm in a huge fight with some of my Yank compatriots concerning the fact that America doesn't, doesn't want to, and can't produce a good beer anymore on a national scale. It's all mega breweries, little quality, this is it, drink it and like it crap.

Then they should be right at home in the LOS with what is widely available -- same mega brew crap, just different labels. Now if they have graduated and gone into microbrews then they (I) are in trouble. Pretty much anywhere in the USofA you can get a decent microbrew for variety. Somewhat more expensive, but not really when you evaluate quatity and % alcohol content. I also will have to deal wtih this problem when I arrive in Thailand in Sept. My wife's relatives will have a supply of Heiniken on hand, but that gets old after 30 days.

Cheers

Hans, there is one way to fix the problem of the beer getting old. 'Drink it Quicker"

Cheers Cheers Cheers

It would be a personal tragedy for me if Youngs stopped brewing.
It was the first beer I ever drank and I have been enjoying it for 55 years!
