Nothing wrong with the Hua bit, just be careful how you pronounce the Hin!

You are actually right, Onlyme.
I've found that Thais tend to raise the melody during the not so longlasting "i".
The "Hi." starts out lower than "Hua" ends if you know what I mean, but then the ".in" ends about level with the "Hua".
