OK Lev. What about posts on the private forum before your demand for 30 posts. Do they count - they should, I think.
Also 30-posts limit for people who's allready let in??
Btw, nice to see a private forum taking shape. |

I think the thirty posts before being allowed to access the private forum is more than fair. You'd want to have an idea  of the poster's attitudes, actions etc before letting them loose in a more private area.
As for the 'lurking', I'm sometimes guilty of that. Reason is, I always use a password as I don't like all this automatic sign-on for any computer. As HHAD discussions don't exactly go blazing down the trail, I typically drop by for a minute or five to check for new posts. If I do see something I feel I can contribute to, I'll sign in. If not, I'm off elsewhere till later in the day. Hey, after all, I do that with a bar crawl (stick my head in, no girls, I'm not wasting my time buying a beer..)

I believe you already have access so its no problem, this will only apply to new requests.

Its quite amazing, we had 74 new members last month and only 6 of them have made 5 or more posts.
Access to all members originally accepted with less than 30 posts that have not posted since has now been revoked.
