| I was scrolling through the `Sun` online newspaper and came across an article of increased terrorist activity in poular holiday destinations for Brits. These included Sri Lanka, India amd Thailand. Personally I prefer to believe that this is typical Sun sensationalist reporting. What do others think? |

I think there a big difference between there being increases in terrorist activity and then saying that it's directed against Brits.
I havn't see the article, but there's certainly been an increase in India lately with at least three major cities being targeted, I believe. Sri Lank's always been bad and there's a lot going on in the northeast, but reporters aren't even allowed there, let alone tourists. Thailand's had troubles in the deep south for ages, but again the three provinces are not tourist destinations.
So, on the face of it, I'd say the article is correct. However, if it's making out that Brits are being "hit", I'd say sensationalism. _________________ "I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered". George Best. |
