Dear all,
First, let me introduce myself.
My name is Andreas Charalambous, I live in Cyprus, and along with my wife, are thinking of moving to Hua Hin in the very near future.
Now, concerning thew Deep.
Is Hua Hin a nice place for Snorkelling or Diving?
From what I have heard, this is not the case.
All comments appreciated.
Thank you |

No, HH is not a nice place for diving, nor snorkeling.
You have to drive another 2 1/2 hrs further south to experience good diving conditions. Bang Saphan - Chumpon area on the east coast, or the Andaman in the west. _________________ I intend to live forever -- so far, so good. |

I agree HH is not the kind of place people usually go for diving. I lived for 2 years in Chumphon and that could be a possibility if you want to stay in the mainland. There are a couple of small islands of the main beach 12 km north of Chumphon. Thats where the diving boats venture those days. Alternatively you could try Koh Tao, the diving Mecca of Thailand. |

| As Norseman says the closest good snorkeling is Bangsaphan, you can rent a boat cheaply and travel around Kao talu and surrounding small islands - it trully is stunning (i am a novice snorkeler) making as many stops as you want. Its a great day trip, only 2 hours from HH and your there. |

Any idea what it's like down there May/June? _________________ Diplomacy is the ability to tell a man to go to hell so that he looks forward to making the trip |
