Is it only me feelings or it looks like the former bosses (P & P) have been replaced by some $ chasing couple now  |

Looks as if you could be right Jimi. I see that they're no longer advertising on HHAD either. Its a shame - we've had some good nights in there. I'm sure Porn will pop up again somewhere else - it seems as if she's always been a part of the Hua Hin bar scene as long as I've known it.

a former P&P-bar girl with her farang boy friend has taken the bar now,
have heard from several sides,independent from each other,that they got ripped off there!
my own experiance:for me as a customer i would expect that the boss lady does not calculate a lady drink when get invited especially when it is clear or obvious that i will not get special entertainment! |

Most of the P&P team had relocated themselves at Lucky Lukes,
as the mamasan there is ex P&P, she took the girls (and the MIBs)
so I heard...? |

Normally I wouldn't reply but hey, what the hell....as one of the "$ chasing couple" why not eh...
1) These posts show how often ANY of you drink in the P&P, otherwise you would know Porn still owns half the bar, and is in there almost every night.
2) The staff did not relocate to LLs ... the staff at LLs all come from other bars, PP included..... the bar staff and cashier at P&P are the same they were 4 years ago, with the addition of Mem.
None of the girls stay the same in any bar for long....we have lasses coming to us from other bars, our lasses move to other bars. A lot of the lasses from P&P when I first went in are no longer in the business full stop.
3) Back to that first bit.....the only $ chasing that Amy (and I) do is normal business....I own a company back in the UK, so why I would chase the paltry (by comparison) profits of any bar in HH is illogical. The bar is Amys and Porns....I don't have to chase dollars as I'm very nicely off thank you, and they don't chase dollars...they run a business.
4) Not advertising on here was Porns decision not Amys....
5) Getting ripped off....well judging by the figures bandied about on HHAD whilst discussing opening bars recently Amy got a good deal off Porn. P&P is a busy place with a regular established client base as well as tourists passing through, and Amy seems more than happy with her share of the profits.
The fact that she worked there when I met her and now, with her own money, has bought half a share in the bar must surely indicate she isnt your average bar lass, and is actually a good business woman.
and last and most certainly least....Mr Troll...

and now in English that makes some form of sense ? Special treatment? Why? Why would you get any different treatment than any other customer ....If you are who I think you are you don't drink in P&P anyway, so how the hell would you know what goes on in there Mr Troll?
Anyway folks...the bar is Porn and Amy's....criticisms and comments should be leveled at them so they can defend themselves/sort problems out. I'll let em know what you all said....

Thanks for the clarification. Great news about Porn still being there (as I said, Hua Hin just wouldn't be the same without her).
I will almost certainly see you in May if you're around then - my wife & Porn go back a long way

sandman67,i understand your situation,you are a young boy fighting for acceptance not only as a man but also in a business you do not understand in fact,i know the p&p property realation between amy and porn of course but it is not important here thats why i did not mention names in which nobody in fact was interested in before,but what people told me what happened to them in this bar are facts! concerning my own experiance i finally want to add that it was not up to amy that day making the invoice so no complains to her person!
i just wonder what you would do if one day "the bad troll" is in front of you? you would be in a hurry for sure boy! Good luck that he is not so bad! |

I am not a young boy by any stretch of the imagination, so I know you dont know me.
I ran bars in the UK when I was younger, so I do know the business. I choose not to get involved with P&P for exactly that reason....its hard work and I have enough on my plate as is.
Im also old enough to know the nature of the bar scene in HH and know it is a hotbed of gossip and speculation. Your sources are obviously better informed than me...hmmmmm...odd that eh?
Mate you are a troll, you know you are...so why deny it? You and I crossed swords before...we will again no doubt....go ahead, crack on you sigh....bore me some more.
Big Boy.....I love mama Porn too....she isnt planning on leaving anytime soon (Thank Buddha). Come in and say Hi when you are in HH....she loves that. Should be about in May....am back in Hell at the mo....its cold....and expensive.

That seems to be nicely cleared up.
Glad to hear Porn & Amy are still about, I look forward to having a few drinks with them in early May. I to go back a long way with Porn, and I will be getting rid of plenty of drinking vouchers in P&P's very soon. Cant wait. |

I assume Mem must be 'family' otherwise why get somebody in to assist behind the bar who had so little success at dragging in the customers when she was in The Dubliner
I have been told first hand by some locals that her craving for loud dischordant music is one reason why they no longer visit the P&P bar
and the recent attempts at imitating Lucky Lukes could turn away some more of the regular customers who could prefer the more serene surroundings of the many small bars that are springing up on the outskirts of the town.
Turning the bar into what is essentially a disco without the dancing is great for attracting the younger tourist but the peak season is just about over now. I walked past P&P last night at 11.00pm, the music was blasting away, but there was only a couple of men in their 20's in there playing pool - Not all that busy on other nights either. now that the tourists have gone, but still reasonably healthy at the weekend.
Surely it must be time for you to review the strategy and get a think tank going on how to boost business. Overall it could be a very long low season for many bars with quite a few more going out of business, the latest one I notice being the Earth Bar in Chomsin Road. Much heralded but it only lasted a few months. |
