Party at Johnnie Walkers on Saturday, starts with happy hour at 5pm - cheap drinks to get things going!!
Band at 7 until about 9.30 - Cartoon fronting - with some great new songs to along with all the greats he already performs. Watch out for the killer Bass player called Prianne - this guy can really slap it!
The Soul Monsta and the surf guys will be around drinking beer and spinning tunes after the live music.
The party will go on late, Burgers and Kebabs will be on the menu!
As usual i will be buying plenty of drinks by 10pm.

Prianne, JW? You mean Bplien, Thep"s old bass player from Takeang?

Well, I was going to go but don't think I will now for all it's worth. I'm not comfortable in bars with kids around. Maybe its just me but I think it's a tad irresposible taking children into an environment where the main objective is to consume lots of alcohol.[/quote] |

Nice first post ... and your agenda is? Don't have any cars for hire by chance?

Buksida,
No, I don't hire cars.....even if I did, what would that have to do with it?
So what if it is my first post or my 100th post? What does that have to do with it?
I don't have any agenda. I just think its not right having kids in bars, especially in this country, and its probably illegal anyway. That is only my opinion, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this.
Why do kids need to be there anyway?
You obviously think its fine? Are you a representative of this website?
So I won't be there partying it up with you, your mates, and their kids.
No big deal. |

| Hi Joeblob bars and kids, it really depends on the bars, some bars cater for families with no girls and no hassle policy, absolutely no problem with it after all what are families on holiday supposed to do lock their kids up at night in the hotel, Jw's bar is one of a list that welcome families with children of any age, Maybe join in and meet some people |

Great introduction to the board and its members, you've obviously been hanging around here some time.

You are entitled to your opinion.

I never said this.

No, and if I were what does it have to do with the price of a rental vehicle?

The use of the word "bar" is sometimes misleading.
There are hotel, taverns, restaurants and probably many other names that are used. Bar seems to indicate drinking only.
In all these places you can buy drinks, eat meals or snacks and in some cases listen to live music.
I see no problem unless the gaurdian is intoxicated or it is a sleasy joint. In fact I think it is good education for the child and if he or she has a good time the whole family is happy.

joeblob,
I don't need your permission or approval to take my little boy anywhere. The staff at JWs and JW himself (as well as his lovely girlfriend) spoil him rotten.
The main reason I take him to these parties is that the band playing was the band that his father played with prior to his death last year. My son knows the guys, loves rock music & I think it's important for him to have this link with his Dad.
He's a very well behaved little boy & no trouble to anyone. I think it's far better for him to see the band at a reasonable time rather than from 10pm till 2am which is the time they regularly play.
Now, with all due respect, please wind your neck in. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832

Hi Johnnie,
I so wish I could make your party, especially as Cartoon and the lads are playing.
I did make it to LOS at the end of April, but unfortunately just didn't have time to get to HH. I am planning my next trip, which should be July or August.
Hope all is well for you mate and I'm sure the party will be fantastic. Have a great night.
Cheers,
Dave
PS I see Mr Yates is doing well on the Asian tour. Watched him get very close to winning a tournament a couple of weeks back. Good on him. _________________ Ipswich Town FC - pride of East Anglia |

| For the new comers to HH the Johnnie Walker bar operated by two very nice gentlemen is a bar / restaurant that you can take your family to and be safe, and have no embarrassing moments , it does not have hostesses just staff that will assist you to get a meal or drink ,and well worth a look in . The music on offer is great to have a good party. |
