On buying a bicycle

Bicycles in HH are expensive. I have bought mine in Tha Yang much cheaper, with better selection and definitely
cheerier service than in Hua Hin. I actually felt guilty going to HH bike shop disturbing the shopkeeper.

Now there's a new bike shop in Pranburi as well. Coming from HH you hang a right at the main intersection.
The new shop is hard by your right, about 100 yards from the intersection.

i've always found the good folks at Hua Hin Bike friendly and helpful......while i haven't purchased a bicycle there i can't comment on the prices but i have bought many tubes, drink bottles, patch kits, lights and the like. i 've found the prices very reasonable. they've tuned up both of my bikes on more than one occasion and again the price was better than reasonable ......i go in there sometimes just to kick the tires on a new bike and dream of getting a good road bike and the people are still nice to me. i for one am very very happy they are here!

I actually compared prices of bicycles in your shop to those in Tha Yang and now in Pranburi.
Maybe your shop does not like people who do compare prices and therefore treat nicely
only those not doing the comparison, eh?

It depends how much you cycle. The only brand worth considering if your a serious cyclist is a trek. I have one for sale if your interested? Its a real beauty. Cost me 120,000 bht new. All I want is 70,000, its as good as new. Cost new in the UK is around 3000 sterling....

Yeah,..the lady at HUA-HIN BIKE is not that talkative,but if you get a cycle from her (TREKs being a good example) you may pay a bit more, but I've heard many stories of owners taking the bike in for adjustments etc at a later date and she prompts her 'man-that-can' Baz to do the work,and its nearly always done for free...she does not show much emotion,but does remember customers old and new.

QUICK PLUG...the Hash-House Harriers over at Cha-Am do a cycle run
every month around the 23rd, this is not a race, but a fun-ride for anyone
with a mountain bike.
Usually about 30kms, age 18ish-80ish.
The ride alternates between Cha-am area and H.H.area each month.
