Does anybody have any old pics of Hua Hin, at least pre 2000 I would love to see them. The place has changed so much in the last 4 years since i've been here, I'd love to see some pics from the mid 90's or even the mid 80's and even before. I am sure there are others that would like this as well....
If you have some pics and are not computer literate I would be happy to come to your place to record and share your memories with the HHAD community. Please get in touch and contact me or let me know of anyone who has some old pics. Thanks in advance...... Very Happy

I've got some from 1998. Mentioned it on today's introductory thread from keestha. Norseman scanned some of them 2 years or so ago and they're on the forum. For the life of me, I can't remember the thread, but perhaps NM can?
If you want to take a look yourself, get in touch and by all means scan and post again. I think NM used maybe 3 or 4 of them. They were the best ones though.
PS - I've deleted the other thread you duplicated.

I got your message from the duplicated thread, so just PM and we'll arrange something.

Its a quiet day at work today, and I've been looking at lomu's photos again. I hadn't realised their significance the first time I looked at them.

The first photo has a view similar to that taken by me when I walked to Khao Takiab looking for rubbish back in August.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/8517813@N05/sets/72157601887300618/ What a transformation to the skyline in that period!

Again, with the 2nd photo, I hadn't taken up on your point that you would have been knocked over by the traffic if you tried to take that same photo now. Obviously the central reservation is not there, but apart from the lack of traffic not too much has changed.

The 3rd photo took me a long time to work out where it was. The thing that is missing there is hundreds of motorcycles that form a barrier down either side of the road there. I guess the motorcycle must be a fairly new innovation as well.

They are still great photos, and I sincerely hope somebody else can provide some more. It would be fantastic to have 'old Hua Hin' available on the net.

I agree with you, Big Boy, it would be good to see them reproduced on HHAD.

If any of you living here have a paper photograph from the old days, but you're not in possession of a scanner, I can scan them and later publish it here if everybody agree.
