I have some old photos of Hua Hin and surroundings.
I can scan them in to my PC but could anyone advise the best way to show them (just one or two) on the forum please?

Sabai Jai,
I don't think you've made enough postings to be allowed to post photgraphs yet. If you want to, you can e-mail them to me, and I will post them for you.
If you want me to help (and I know of several others who are interested in photos of old Hua Hin) please PM me, and I will send you my normal e-mail address (don't use the MSN address that is posted at the bottom of this post - I don't look there very often). _________________ Green Army position 10 2007/08

Motorbike for rent 150B (2nd to last pic)? How long ago was that? Vastly inflated prices then, or not so much inflation in the interim?
Really good photos - thanks. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832

| The first one for me was an eye-opener if it is where I think it is - on the pier minus the fish restaurants? |

Great photos.

Brings back memories, I am often asked what is the biggest change I have seen in 20 years and to me it the pace of life. It is just so hectic compared to the old days, but it is still a great place to live.
I will have to see if I can dig out some old photos.

Dear All
Thanks for your comments. These photos were from cool season 85 / 86 and yes it was so much more laid back then.
150 baht bike hire was quite expensive, particularly when you consider that the exchange rate was probably around 38 to the GBP, but they only had one bike!

SJ,
You should really have messed most of us up by putting them on the photo "guess where I took this" thread.
Only joking - more please.
And, Lev, as you'll probably get a sneak preview, you're not eligible for the competition if it turns out that way. _________________ "I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered". George Best. |
