Hi All
Just come back from HH. Had a fantastic holiday with three other friends playing golf and "socialising"!
I loved HH, the locals are so friendly and I met people who I will never forget. The temperature was a bit hot...I am told that Oct / Nov is a better time to visit.
We were told that HH has been "cleaned up" and there were no girls. We had a great time in the bars the first night we arrived especially the London Bar.
Cant imagine what it was like before the town was cleaned up!! _________________ Pommy |

Welcome to the board and good to hear you enjoyed your time in HH but this clean up thing is totally new to me. Where did you hear about it? I don't thing there has been any major clean up in bars or elsewhere in HH for a long time. _________________ 知彼知己, 胜乃不殆; 知天知地, 胜乃可全

Glad you had a good time here and managed to get a few holes in.
However I think your informant has a forked tongue.
There has been no clean up in Hua Hin. On average a new bar opens every month. The good thing is that many have other themes than just girls. In fact there are some that have themes and girls. There is a general trend however to move girlie bars further West, away from the sea front, which is the favorite haunt of couples and families.
As for the best time being October and November, that would only apply if you are very fond of monsoon weather with the chance of rain pissing down all day and the golf courses waterlogged. Perhaps your informant was getting mixed up with Rio or Cairns. Easy mistake to make. _________________

Thats interesting...when would you say is the best time to visit for the golf i.e. dry and not too hot. Is there such a time in Hua Hin?!! _________________ Pommy |

November to February is best. Also most expensive time of the year. _________________ "I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered". George Best. |

Lomuamart,
Is the begining of November a gamble to come over to play golf and have some fun due to the rainy season or has it passed by then.
Paul. |

Usually the rains are over by early November but if you can make mid-month, you're on more secure ground. _________________ 知彼知己, 胜乃不殆; 知天知地, 胜乃可全
