Mine was 2 weeks early
Having worked in construction around the world, I find Thailand no different, more often than not projects will be late to some degree.
They usually run late due to a) ambitious promises made to secure contracts, b) genuine unforseen delays or c) customer changes to specification.
There's no point getting yourself stressed over it, set yourself up in a nice rented property, budget for a couple of months of extra rent and make sure you get a clause in the contract that says the developer will pay 'x' amount for every week over-run.

Im used to english sense of humor. Even if it can be a bit of a sting. I trust my realestate that it will ready 1 of aug. 2006 . I know that its common it can be delayed but he is paying his workers more then average, to make sure the work will get done in time. |

Read the second line of my reply to Scorpiolady and you'll realise that there is no need to stir shit that isn't there!
Talk about a sense of humour bypass!
To Scorpiolady - I hope you didn't find my reply too flippant - apologies if you did but please take on board its good intentions. | Its ok ! |

All's well that ends well. Glad I quickly edited my reply to Limey now - things could've got out of hand!
Having also been gently rebuked by Pattaya Pete in another thread I am now officially in mai bpen rai mode and all cynical and sarcastic thoughts are leaving my body. Your getting there. You be in my league soon.
Scorpiolady, it would be interesting to hear why a single Swedish lady has made the move out here on what seems to be a permanent basis. I have known otheres but they are well outnumbered by the men. _________________

No, unfortunately not building a house of my own, just wishing you the best on yours
I will be renting there, being a student and all that is my only option. I will take you up on that beer still though |

I have applied for some schools, first I was going for Webster´s in Cha-am but now I feel that Stamford might be better for me since they have alot of international students and a good reputation in Asia. Asia is the place I want to work when I´m done so it seems good enough!
I have been in the U.S now for two years and I like it but Asia always felt more like home |

I am going for a Bachelor´s in either Finance & Banking or International Business, pretty much the same courses the first years so I´m gonna have to decide now I guess...
The universities that I have applied for are private so it is the same price for all nationalities, ranging from about $5,000 - $9,000 per year in tuition if I got it all right... So it is a bit of cash but far less than what I have to pay here in the U.S as an international student, more than twice what the U.S students pay
Sometimes I think I should have stayed back home and gone to the free ones in Sweden, however when I don´t look at my bank statement it feels sweet doing a bit of travelling! |

A bit off topic so I'll make it short.... farang empty heads complain endlessly about double pricing here in LOS. Everyday, every "Letter's" section of the newspapers. They all seem to forget to look at what goes on at home first. Pete |

Do you really have a free university in Sweden?
Free - NO cost at all??? No semester fee and free books?
Sorry, but I don't believe that, and what about the cost of living in Sweden? _________________ I intend to live forever -- so far, so good. |
