Went to the sofitel to try the new menu advertised in the Big Chilli last month .
The food and service were outstanding .
Whilst we were sipping wine and enjoying the fresh baked warm rolls and dips (complimentary) the maitre d approached us and explained that with staff still getting to grips with the new menu our food would take a little longer than usual . He provided us with a selection of appetisers followed by a delicious clam chowder . After the mains which were all we ordered we were given a selection of desserts and coffee .All the extras were on the house .We are not regulars and were not in a hurry or complaining in any way .
Clearly the new team are keen to raise the standards of food and service which were pretty damn good in the first place .Result for me as I was paying today .3 people,4 courses 2or3 glasses of wine each plus coffee 4000 baht .
Gave a good tip and will be back on a more regular basis .

| Thanks for the info Mr Crazy. We are fed up with the food in Hua Hin and on the way home we decided to branch out and try to find better places. Never tried the Sofitel and the prices seem reasonable. Will give it a go, although 4 courses is too much for me! Do they serve Thai food as well? |

They certainly do but it will cost a bit more than the 20bt a plate street stalls .

Jocky I stayed there a couple of years ago and food was both good quality and very reasonable prices for the quality of the hotel.
