That's good to hear mahdoo.

To be honest I didn't think you had much chance of getting her back. I know of three people who have had their Golden Retrievers stolen from the front of their houses as they are worth a bit of money.

Tell Leo to get well soon from GLC. Cheers

Hi,

Just thought I would update on Leo's condition.

Although the couple who had found Leo had taken him to see a vet and had his leg put in plaster, the cast came off in just a few days. I took him to the pet hospital in town and had his leg x-rayed.

His front left leg was broken in two places but the bones were not aligned for a good healing. The vet recommended I take Leo to a specialist in Ratchaburi for surgery. I took Leo for the surgery in Ratchaburi where they inserted a metal pin in his leg to align the bones properly.

After a month of wearing a cast and Leo hopping around the bone has finally healed and he is able to put his full weight on the leg and run around.

Thanks again for the help. thumbs up

Glad things worked out for the best. For future info, although Ratchaburi are first class, the Veterinary hospital (Klong Road) also does pinning (very good job as well!) - so it's worth checking with them first before undertaking the journey.

In about 18 months we in HH will have our own version of the same University vet hospital that exists in Ratchaburi. It will be on the back road between the Khao Takiab turn off & the Pranburi road. Smile

Hey Guys n Girls,

It's time for poor Leo to see a vet and have his balls chopped off (neutered).
He is giving Sandee a hard time (no pun intended) and I am not sure how long she will hold out either killing him (more likely) or giving in.

I usually go to the "Pet Hospital" near Soi 55 but am not sure if they do this procedure or if they do it well.

Dawn mentioned above the Veterinary hospital (Klong Road) ^ which I was not aware of before.

I would just like some recommendations please if anyone has taken a large very scared of vets, dog to be neutered in Hua Hin.

There is a vets (i think) near to where I live on the Soi 35 turning at the north end of the Kings Palace. It is called Doctor Pet or something.
Does anyone know anything about this place? As it is very close by for me.

Thanks Mr. Green

We have used the one on the klong road several times for various things, including neutering for both male and female dogs. They will (sometimes) come and pick the dog up and give it an injection to sedate it if it is a problem - we had to do that once before. I would recommend them, but have not used anyone else so cannot compare. They are normally very busy though, so that is a good sign but also a nuisance if you have a nervous dog waiting to be seen. Good luck!

I would recommend the Veterinary Hospital (Klong Road) or The Pet Hospital Soi 55/1. Both are good at neutering. I don't know about any others, and as anyone can set themselves up as a vet in Thailand, I always stick to the ones that have proven themselves. That isn't a comment on anyone else, just my opinion.

If you feel that Leo might need sedation to stop him being so scared, make an appt with the vet & then you can give oral sedatives (you can buy them from the vet). Make sure the vet knows that you have given prior sedatives. If you feel he might need a bit more, ask the vet to come out, or give me a call (to give me a bit of notice if you want me to come out & help) 081 9814406, and he can be sedated a little more heavily. Good luck & well done on having the forethought to neuter Smile
