Now you’ve all found out why I live in Thailand and work in Luxembourg; they have the best salaries in Europe, and perhaps the world and they like drinking!
Actually whilst the Luxembourgish are big drinkers, the statistic of drinks sales are not really an accurate indication as so many people in this area are crossing the borders to buy the stuff.
Having said that I went out for an afternoon drink on Sunday at two-thirty and got back to my hotel at five in the morning and I think I may have drank quite a lot in that time. |

seems the list compilers have far to much time on their hands!!
same as all polls though, how many are really that accurate??
the reason i mentioned the uk (11th) is that it was recently quoted as having the worst numbers of binge drinkers in europe.
i spent a number of years living in germany & they certainly like a beer or ten!! & when i was in russia, they drank vodka like water before & after the fall of communism !!!
maybe the pollsters have counted the uk tourists in the various resorts of europe as locals _________________ when all are one & one is all, to be a rock & not to roll. |

I am Irish and live in Luxembourg - there is a sizable Irish community here so we help with the stats.
As Steve G knows as well, anytime there is the smallest little fete or gathering, they build temporary bars here - basically instead of having chipper vans here, they have vans with bars in them!!! |

| You’re being modest Luxrebel, I would say that the Irish community are at least half of the statistics! |
