Now, correct me if I wrong but isn't it true that a Farang cannot legally sell property in Thailand.. Isn't that certificate offered only to Thais. My lawyer only mentioned that her law lic permits her to engage in such dealing. I didn't question her further... BTW, 5,000 Baht per hour for good sized law firm in the nice office building on Sukhumvit seems very cheap. I did lawyer shopping and found that to be a fair price, for BKK.
Boy, in my shopping I must say that every Farang front man, be he a barrister in his home county, seemed a bit shady... Every one, except a guy in Patong, was out to impress me with what they knew. I've done my homework so it ain't news as to most of the general facts!
My Atty (Suay Jing Jing) did her undergrad in New Zealand and worked at a law office in Christ Church then back to BKK and Chucklorn (spell?)
up by Siam for Law school. She always is able to contrast things in America and Thailand so I get a good understanding of the specific issues.
I'm not a law school grad but my MBA minored in Law..... about the same as first year of law school in UC Berk in total classes over the 3 years so she has been very helpful. _________________ HHHound aka Tripple H, shortened to 3H!
