Does anyone know where I can buy a new named brand laptop off the shelf in Hua Hin? I can't believe I have to trawl up to Bangkok.
Many thanks in advance. _________________ Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly!

| Try Pawin -- right in front of The Grand next to Halex. Have at least SVOA and HP -- see the HP monthly catalogue thjey have for things not on the shelf. |

You will be strugling for a choice in HH maybe a tripp to petchaburi will give a better selection, but for the ultimate choice you know deep down inside you will have to go to the smoke and trundel around panthip
i dont actually recall sight of any laptops in any of the computer shops in HH maybe thay have some catalogues to view ,,
dont forget the diference in price will pay for a trip to BKK _________________ "I don't often agree with the RSPCA as i believe it is an animals duty to be on my plate at supper time" |

I've seen Acer laptops in a shop close to the head office TT&T along Phetkasem RD. This was at least 1 year ago so I can't tell you if this still is valid info. _________________ I intend to live forever -- so far, so good. |

| I know a Thai lady (teacher) who just bought a new Acer laptop in HH. I can get the name of the shop if you like. Sounded like a reasonable deal price wise to me.... |

You may be able to order one here if you know what you want and the shops will have it shipped down from Bangers. You may pay a little extra here though.
A rough idea of prices can be seen here:

Outside of Thailand preferably if you want to save a bit.
If you have no choice then Panthip in Bangkok has the widest selection.
If it has to be Hua Hin the best computer store is a place called IT-net next to the shell garage on Petchkasem Road.
Make sure you know what you're looking for or the sales staff will sell you anything and it may not be up to spec. _________________ Luctor et Emergo |

| If you are going to use a laptop for anything other than email and programming get a mac .Much more powerful, easier to use and reliable .3 years warranty which I have only had to use once in the last 10 due to a power surge .Every pc I have owned played up at least once a year . |
