Have you tried the Cabinet shop?
Yes they can be a bit expensive but they are good.

I to am about to put a kitchen in my house and have not found what I feel is a decent place to purchase cabinets. I've checked a few shops in town, Home Pro and Index and really don'r know who to turn to.
Were exactly is the "Cabinet Shop"? |

I was going to open a thread on this very subject. Lucky I did a search.
I was going to put in the cabinets myself, but decided that I didnt want the hassle. Also I do not want to pay triple prices!
I want to find a contractor who will do it reasonably and do a good job. Lest you think I am asking too much, I am happy to say that there ARE such people in Hua Hin. The guys who put up our gutters were excellent. Very professional and not expensive. The same with the folks who put in our screen doors. Perfect work at a good price. Both very nice to work with.
So nobody has any good suggestions here except the cabinet shop? Anyone have any company actually DO their kitchen and have a good experience/ good results? |

| We have had kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets done by this guy. He doesnt have brochures etc but we showed him what we wanted and he made them and fitted them. Have to buy any accessories yourself then he fits them (handles, racks etc for inside cupboards. Good work at Thai price for a change. Speaks a little English but not much so you will probably w need someone to translate to make sure . Anyway, his name is PAE (as in Pie) 086 1406117 |

| Thanks niggle. This sounds like exactly what I want. The guys with the expensive brochures are the ones who scare me. I will work up some drawings of what we want and have the Thai spouse do the explaining. . and the dealing on the price. |

Well, our kitchen is done and looks like something out of Architectural Digest. I keep going in and just looking at it in admiration.
We had two estimates given, both by contractors recommended here in this forum. The one we picked was VERY professional. They have been added to my short list of Thai service providers who I would gladly do business with again. ( This includes our gutter guys and the people who put in our screen doors.)
No pics yet, but when I do take some and can figure out how to post them here, I will do that.
They came in and measured. Listened to our needs and worked carefully from my drawing. Within a week they were back with the inserts and cabinet bases and within another week and a half or so, they came in with a crew of six and finished it up. Showed me a selection of drawer pulls to choose from.
We ordered everything in white which is extra in cost. .and the paint spraying was not pleasant to live with. That was the only down side.
Total time about three weeks from order to completion.
Total cost 22,000 baht. (No money up front even.)
They painted everything, even behind the drawers. Put in a stove counter for free and even redid the plumbing under the sink. They cleaned up after themselves every day they were here.
They were recommended by "Johnny". (And Johnny, I owe you a beer.) MOST grateful mate.
If anyone wants their number, just PM me. They left me with some business cards too, but there is no actual company name.
This is where this forum comes in so darned handy. ( I owe all you mods and the admin beer I guess! |
