Hi everyone.
Just found this forum and thought it could be a useful source of information for me and my family. We are in the process of buying a property on a new development in Chaam (i know this is a Hua Hin forum but you are the closest i've found so far!) i've worked in Thailand and been visiting the country for the passed 25 years and only last year decided to look for a place to retire to over there, even though it'll be another 10 years before i finally do retire,it seemed like a good time to invest with the Pound being so strong at the moment.Of all of the places we've visited Cha am and Hua Hin seemed to be much more relaxing resorts but at the same time with enough to keep us entertained. We didn't want to live in a place like Pattaya where it's a bit like mini England but with sunshine, you know what i mean,English pubs serving Full English breakfasts etc.etc.! Can't think of anything worse! And by the way i am English myself!I want to live in Thailand because i love the country ,the people(my wife is Thai) and their culture, hopefully that won't change in this region for a long time.
I noticed they were adding an extra lane to the dual carriageway from Bangkok to the area so obviously there must be some plans for development in the region. If anyone knows of any plans for the future i'd be interested to hear about them.
If you have any useful info on Chaam itself i would also be interested in hearing from you.
Thanks
Kev |
