Hello everyone,

as you can see my handle is DSbadger, and this is my first post.

I am a relative newbie to LOS and totally new to this forum. I have been to Thailand only 7 times starting back in 2000, and had spent most of my time in BKK or Pattaya, but I am looking for something new on my next trip and found this forum. And from what I have read so far it all looks promising in terms for getting the info I am looking for.

I also generally travel alone so making a few connections would be nice. Maybe even hook up for a beer or 8, on the next trip.

So let me ask a first question:

Is Hua Hin one of those places people don't talk about that much, so that they can keep all the good things to themselfs? Cool Because on the boards that I am on for Bangers or Pattaya, not much is mentioned about a stop over. I am getting the idea that the expats on those boards are not willing to share the message for fear of spoiling a good stop over hang out. Sound about right so far?

I don't go to Thailand, or Hua Hin anymore for the night life. While there seems to be anything you want, the whole night life scene is not as big as BKK or Pattaya.

HH is more laid back than the other two big cities.

Others here could answer nightlife, but thought I'd toss this out.

Welcome to HHAD. Cheers
I think most people (esp those who haven't been here) dismiss HH as being a sleepy little fishing town with no entertainment. I don't think many of us who live here see the point in disabusing them of that notion. Wink Mr. Green

Thanks Dawn, that is what I thought.

I am not looking for quantity like in Bangkok or Pattaya, but I am looking for a relaxing type vacation that has some night life entertainment available like only LOS can offer.

Looking for peace, quite, and quality in vacation spot, and I think you just answered my question. It really isn't just a monger hang out that I am looking for.

One on of my trips, for example, I decided I wanted to go to the full moon party on Koh Phangen, and taking advice from BKK boardies I found a BKK companion to come a long. That turned from a GFE experience into a BWE ( bitch wife experience).

With that said I think you get my drift.

Mainly I wanted boardies to know where I was coming from in my questions and posts. I really like many Thai attributes NOT just the girls, but as a single guy, that is a part of the trip for me.

thanks looking forward to reading more and asking questions.
