Wanderlust, yes I was bitten in Thailand. As Big Boy posted, if travelling to rural areas the pre-exposure course is advised. But you pays your money and takes yer choice. I'd take the jabs every time. _________________ "The man who never made a mistake never did bugger all" - Old Welsh proverb

I now start to understand the love of cats issue more deeply. I got badly scratched by a cat here way back. Caught what they called "cat scratch fever" feels like the flu for a few days. Probably all the dirt on it's nails from Jaime's garden. Pete |

Read up on the rock star or movie star in Bangkok who gave himself the stage name of (something) Dundee, just like Crocodile Dundee of movie fame. Seems "dundee" in Thai is just the type of "jabs" you're referring to...LOL. May make for some good discussion over there this evening. Pete
PS: Use caution when discussing with females. |

Pete,
Just asked my wife what Dundee means in Thai, all she'll say is that its good - she will not explain any further. _________________ Green Army position 21
