Itinery Advice ...

After a lot of arsing about (there are a couple on this board that will know what I'm on about). I am finally planning to hit HH first weekend of October for a few days.

I have not been to HH for years. Last time I was there I stayed out of town at 'White Sands' & spent most days at the hotel's garden/beach area and popped in to town in the evening and 'did' the pier restaurants.

I'm coming down with g/f and 7 year old daughter in tow.

Can I get some ideas of where to stay, a suite would be nice don't want to pay more than about a 1,000 baht a night if poss. Also some ideas of what to do during the afternoons and nights ?

NB : I until recently owned a bar in BKK where my g/f was supervisor and my daughter would regularily come to do her home work after school and play pool. so a 'little' of the bar scene is perfectly acceptable to us a unit.
