Peter the Penguin has disappeared

If anyone knows the whereabouts of my beloved penguin please PM me. He was last seen on Wednesday 11th September 2007 on Hua Hin After Dark. He has quite bulbous eyes and black and white skin. He enjoys listening to music so often wears headphones.

I would just like to know that he is safe.

Just woken up.

Popped downstairs to get a glass of milk and a ciggie.

Thought I'd have a quick browse of my favourite website to see if anything new is going on.

Left a post on one of the threads.

To my horror, I look at the thread and.... rather than having my cool little penguin dude with headphones as my avator, I am left with a Bio Hazard / Toxic sign.

What is the world coming to. It took me three whole minutes to find that picture and now all of that hard work has gone to waste.

Now this is a serious invasion of privacy if people can change my previously "cool" image to a ( quite frankly ) deadly and unfriendly image.

I do hope the Mods address this serious and important matter.

Are you serious, GLC? You really didn't change it yourself?

Seems that the filename has been changed there resulting in the image change, why don't you upload your desired avatar here in your profile.

Thanks for that Lev

I shall try to hunt down Peter the Penguin for a while, failing that I shall have to consider a new avator.

Missing Penguin Joke (bad)

Somphon is driving a truck load of penguins across Asia to the Bangkok zoo. Near the Laos / Thai border, his truck breaks down. Somphon inspects the damage, sees his truck will need to be towed to a garage and so tries to flag down another truck for help.

Finally, Noi pulls over and asks Somphon, "what's the matter?"

Somphon says, "My truck has broken down and it is full of penguins that need to be taken to the Bangkok zoo today! Are you carrying anything?"

Noi says no.

Somphon continues. "Great! I'll give you 20,000 Baht if you take these penguins to the Bangkok zoo for me."

Noi says, "sure." So they load the penguins into Noi's truck and Noi drives away towards Bangkok. Meanwhile, Somphon calls a garage to come fix his truck.

The next day, Somphon finally arrives in Bangkok. Imagine his surprise, then, when he sees Noi walking down the street with all the penguins; hand-in-wing, wing-in-wing.

"What the hell are you doing with the penguins!?" shouts Somphon, "I told you to take them to the zoo yesterday!"

"I did," said Noi calmly, "but I had some money left over. So I'm taking them to see a movie today. Cheers

I blame global warming whereby the natural habitat of the humble penguin is rapidly declining, not many penguins left in the GLC area. If my memory serves me correctly, Ken Livingstone banned all nuclear and toxic waste when he was in charge of the GLC, so he may have put this sign up to remind us.

It all depends if you are talking about the 'great salavating penguin' or the lesser known 'bolivian sweating' variety? Both have seen declining numbers since the great 'beaver cull' of the 1820's........
