Hua Hin revives traditional game for Songkran celebrations
PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Mar 24 (TNA) - It may bear certain similarities to the conga, but the traditional folk game of 'Phee Phung Tai', once performed regularly by fishing communities in the Hua Hin area, is now in danger of extinction.
But now the Hua Hin municipal authorities hope to revive the game for this year's Songkran festival, to show ways of life which are now dying out.
According to Hua Hin's deputy mayor, Mr. Nopporn Wuthikul, people from fishing communities in the Hua Hin area used to play the game when they had free time from their work as a means of relaxation.
The game involves around 20 young men and women joining hands to make a long line, and running round the town singing about events relating to their daily lives.
Visitors to the town will be able to witness the game from 13-16 April in the Phon King Petch public park. (TNA) _________________ The International Veterans' Association,

It wouldn't involve copious quantities of Sangsom also by any chance?
