I've looked for the Hua Hin Ham Bacon & Meat Company on the Hua Hin map several times - can't find it. Have I gone blind, or isn't it there?
Its always good to be able to revert to a bit of real food when on Holiday ie Thai food is OK, but its nice to have something you can trust when you get the inevitable holiday tummy
What's the address please? |

I can't find them on the linked map either, odd no address on their ad, but maybe they don't sell from there? I know there's a good supply of their frozen food in the supermarket thats often knocked - across the main road from the temple. You know the one, indifferent service, blocked aisles!!!
For when I'm there again, I'd be interested to know if you can buy fresh bacon and from where?
It seems the one thing I crave for brekky when on my hols, wherever I am! _________________ I know nothing |

They are on the 'Hua Hin Area map', not the 'Hua Hin map'.
Grid E/7.

Thanks for the responses guys, but it does not appear on the map on my PC. I've even asked my work colleagues to check grid E/7 - it just aint there.
By the way, grid E/7 is about 20cms South (and a little bit East) of the Royal Palace. |

Good stuff mil_dos, good to have you back posting.
I don't think this guy will go down in History of one of the great navigators.
Blackthorn on standby.
BTW where did you get the west country spell checker from? _________________

The last time I went there it was down Soi 41 - maybe that is why it is not on the map as the map doesn't go that far North. To get to the shop (unless it has moved) simply drive down Soi 41 until you come across the shop on the left hand side - you can't miss it. _________________ "The man who never made a mistake never did bugger all" - Old Welsh proverb

Yes, I am a Janner, but not as eloquently spoken as you - enjoyed it
I think my navigation problem is the HHAD opening page takes you to a different area map ie I did click on the link to 'Hua Hin area map'.
Lev, thank you very much for sorting it out for me - I've obviously had one Taboo too many.
Mil_dos, do you know if they sell oggies? |

How can you admit to drinking Taboo. It has been firmly established on this forun that Taboo is a poofter's drink.
Anyway Soi 41 sounds about right to me. It is on the right if coming from nebkerhadt road. Ity is just past the golf villas place and near the kink in the road.
It looks more like a house than a supplier's outlet. _________________

If anyone's looking for good bacon, & cheaper than most of the brands you see in downtown supermarkets, check out the small shop next to the art gallery opposite the Hin Nam Sai Suay, about 4-5km north of downtown. They have an excellent range of bacon, meat (joints, chops, etc.) & some very nice salami. I know it's a trek for you south HH folk but for me, it's worth a journey. (The restaurant next to it is also worth a visit, for both Thai & western food.) _________________ The International Veterans' Association,

Lev,
I think maybe the problem is that the link from the Hua Hin Ham & Bacon Co. page on HHAD does not lead to the link you provided above but to a map of central Hua Hin which does not inlcude Soi 41 but which uses the same grid references hence the confusion - check and see.
