zevon,
Your best bet is to arrive in Hua Hin, book in to a hotel/guest house for 2 or 3 days, and find something suitable when you arrive. Providing you do not arrive in high season, there will always be plenty to choose from. doing it that way you will generally get much better value for your money.
I've looked at many web pages offering property for rent, but they all seem to be overpriced.
The above advice has been given many times on this site. If you look around the site, you will identify locations to look. _________________ Green Army position 10 2007/08

| In addition to what BB has just posted, you should have no problem in finding a place now, but the nearer it gets to December the harder it will get to find a good deal, actually the best time to look is March/April. Quite a lot of retired people come over during the European winter, so demand is higher. |

BB is right, do not book anything until you get here.
Stay in a hotel for a week or more and have a good look around at which area you like.
There's so much choice/difference in price range.

Contact me when you get here.
In my quiet soi there are often houses for rent but they go quickly
Rent about 10000 to 15000 a month
We're about 1 km out of the centre but near the beach _________________ Syd--------Shine on you crazy diamond

| How much would it cost to rent in a central location such as on the road first left after Jed Pee Nong heading up towards the railway station? |

The first house I ever rented in Hua Hin was in that area. Adjusting the cost for time, the upper end of the rates Richard has quoted would be about right - depending upon time of year. Availability could be a problem down there theough - we've never managed to get another house that central. _________________ Green Army position 10 2007/08
