Yes I have heard of this also, along with a plan to run a super light speed hyper space service from Honolulu to Khon Kaen with only the one change in Alpha Centauri.

The fare is a mere 1.5M Baht each way. Apparently there were twenty-five kilometre queues at Kohn Kaen bus station waiting to purchase a ticket.

We’re having a elevated road way from samut sakorrn to Prachuap as well
Complete with trust house forte service area's every 200 meters ,one of chaiman Toxins brainchilds i believe or should i say scams
most of the Thai railway is left over from the Japanese invasion it cant even handle low speed trains how are they going to run high speed trains ,
You can safely add at least 1 hour to any train journey and if on the southern and most northern lines expect to have at least one de-railment on your jouney

Bangkok to Hua Hin time table suggests 3 hours i have used this many times and its usually well over 4 hours the longest was 5 and a half hours that was an express. It would take the Thai railway system at least 10 years to get upto any standard where they would be able to use anything near normal speed trains safely. the thought of high speed trains is even more scary then the thought of what they call a rail system now

Do you work for the sunday sport Jimmy or just believe every thing you are told by the Muslim rag you promote in your avtar

Oh apologies Thailand has never been invaded also

Ummmm with my basic math this train of yours would need to average a speed inxs of 318 kph or 198.75 mph which is possable, a couple of draw backs, the average Thai driver can't get across the tracks without being hit by a train doing 50 mph. How does the snack food guy get on and off?
Will there be a fourth class car with wooden seats and no windows, can you imagine the mess when a train going 200 mph kicks up all those plastic bags that line the track and the poor guy in the shack next to the track will have to rebuild every time a train passes. One thing I did not know was how many people from the north east wanted to go to the new airport where are they going? Idea

LOL! Not bad guess! I think the PM is stood at the front of the queue urging his cronies to follow him aboard!

May I respond to your astute observations SHAD.

Inxs 318 KPH has been achieved in Germany, France and Japan for some time now so no problem.

If the train hits a car at that speed ther will be no chance of any litigation procedings as the car and it's contents will be vapourized.

The plastic bags and potato chip packs that people through out of the train windows will all be sucked up into the fourth class compartment wher the travellers will be able to collect them and re-cycle, hence making tgher journey less costly.

As for food sellers the easy answer is that, each train will have a net at the front section of the train. At every station that the train speeds by there will a food seller who jumps from a platform into the net. The food seller will be hauled onto the train and permitted to sell there produce. When they have completed their task they can somply be ejected from the rear of the train.

As for the question about what market there is for high speed travel from tne NE to Bangkok, that is easy to answer. All ladies like to accompany their boyfriends to the airport when the have to return to Farangland to earn more money.
