I voted for 9 - great clarity, detail and perspective.

I'm getting fussier - the horizen isn't level in 3, It would have been better had it been, but agree, the place looks great ( bow to the snapper).

Generally, I'd like to see more "people" photo's, rather than just views.

Looks like number 9 is running away with it.

I've put all the winners from previous competitions here:

Agreed. There's been a few like that over the previous comps. I think we should be voting for how good the photos are technically and artistically rather than how pretty the subject is.

And the lady's hat in photo 10 seems to have blown off.

Sorry Guy's n' Gals but the photos if anything seem to be getting worse (in my humble opinion), and are not very inspirational. Maybe you should change the competition to "who can snap the nicest view".

Now I wait for the flack! Wink

Don't mind me - keep plugging away!

Mine was not a view, and it only got one vote, and that was from me... Rolling Eyes
People obviously like views... Very Happy

Tell you what, guys - this is the first time I've entered & it'll be the last. Not because I've only got one vote (not me! I voted for 11), but because of the negative comments from many of you. Nowhere in the rules did I see that you had to be a professional photographer or that the horizon had to be level (not mine, either).
If you've made me feel inadequate & as if I wasted my time, how do you think you'd make a newbie to the forum feel? Bet there's a few people after reading your comments have decided never to enter this competition. So, that leaves it open to the same handful of people every time who actually are accomplished photographers.

What a shame.

What I find amazing about photo number 1 is at first I saw only one bird, then looking closer I saw another, then another until I spotted 5 birds in total!

Dawn - just watched the new American Idol - you sound like one of the contestants that never made it to the next round! Very Happy

I think this is a reflection of just how amazing the photos have been in the earlier rounds?

I voted for 11 as well Dawn. And your point is I think well made - there's no need to say that x y and z photos are shite. Getting no votes is quite enough of a kick in the goolies.

This is a fun feature and it would be a shame if people stopped sending in the snaps.

Cheers

Jim
