Just a suggestion but how about the mods having a get together and each year do an oscars tony etc awards thingy

ie
most amusing post
most enlighteningpost
most useful post
most boring post
The biggest load of BS post
The best rumour of the year

Well you get the drift and then post it its gorra be good for a larf

maybe we could get some input from the posters and readers for more categories

Maybe the mods could pick 3/4 posts for each categorie and then have a poll on them

worrayathink Mr. Green Mr. Green Very Happy Very Happy thumbs up Cheers

Not a bad idea, could be quite amusing.

Most of us mods will be at the Saturday beach do so could discuss it there.

Hope to see a few members there also!

I don't think awards should be given for 'worsts' or 'most annoying' as they are very negative as is this post.

Considering Sargeant has put himself as the winner or finalist in all of his "worst" categories, it seems to me that it's meant as a bit of fun. There are plenty of "worst" awards in the world, like the Darwins or the Razzies & although it could be argued they were negative or in bad taste, many of us have gained enjoyment through them. Cheers Mr. Green

We do also need to come up with a catchy name for these awards - any suggestions?

Most boring post? Now there’s a challenge, I think I will have to do some more study into the atomic properties of Polonium-210!

Whats with the picture of the poisoned guy staring at us through the telly on every news reel like some christ-like figure damning the human race for all it's sins. You don't get that on the bond films but that's fantasy I suppose. (Not that Christ is fantasy - at least most of the stories about him were true I believe).

Sarge,

How about "Most posts made whilst 3-sheets to the wind"? or "Most consistently helpful poster"? I'm sure other members can come up with their favourite "categories"! Cheers

Sounds fantastic to me. Jockey gets my vote for the most apt avatar.

As for my typing, I agree I do occasionally make the odd mistake but if you knew what speed I type at you would not be surprised.

How do you think I manage to write pages of meaningless crap on this site and hold down two jobs and that is in addition to my mini orphanage and animal sanctuary duties.

As for the best wind up that would be difficult. There has been some great ones. However I must hold the record for the longest running. Posters are still responding now to one I put out in August.

I still get the odd person ask me if I am still living in a dog kennel as well.

Anyway bye for now I have less than three weeks to prepare myself for the Roast Turket Puss Xmas lunch.

Anybody fancy a Duck?
