"The Posties"? Makes them sound like Scottish postmen! _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832

As for my typing, I agree I do occasionally make the odd mistake but if you knew what speed I type at you would not be surprised.,,, |
If you but knew how painstakingly slowly I read (chapped lips) you'd not type so fast,,,

Great answer farang and a candidate for one of the humorous sections.
BTW I hope many of you don't think that because I spell "realize" like that it is because I cannot spell, the reason is that firstly I spent a lot of time in the US, secondly even more time writing for US based readers and thirdly because I have the US spell checker active on my PC for technical reasons.
In the US not all words are spelt the same ways as in Britain. Many countries in Europe use the US spelling as well.
Now I have got spell checking attached to HHAD and Email I think you will find the spelling mistakes decrease. _________________

| I think there should be an award for the most blatantly transparent attempt to get 30 posts up for the night-crawlers section, the ones that give advice to people for holidays, two years after they’ve been here and agreeing to everything from the Thai constitution to Elvis being alive! |

And HHDRC will be very grateful for your kind donation of every "gratuity" you get!!
SteveG,
Been waiting for someone to post about the meaningless drivel that some people come up with & the ancient threads they resurrect to try to get onto nc! Well done that man! Just one question, if trophies were to be given out, what shape would that particular one be? _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? Steve G are you saying elvis is dead
Having spent three weeks reading back posts i see a trend in some that suggest he is alive and kicking
Would that be the waste of space award
I was thinking of awarding dwarfs then they could be called the Hua Hin Academy Dwarfs abbreviated HHADs
And then the winners could clear a bar when slurring drunk by saying ive HHADs

Evidently some people are just not aware that Elvis has not only lef the building, he's gone off planet too.
I know the superior winner of the waste of space award. _________________ I intend to live forever -- so far, so good. |

No idea Sarge, but if it does happen, I can think of a couple of nominees for a couple of less favourable categories. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832

I agree. A few more categories are needed since this thread was started. As for the awards themselves I have a couple of old snooker cues that could be fashioned into appropriate artifacts for many of the winners. We would be helping local artists as well. _________________

Best 'out-of-town' Poster - Must be between 'Pattaya-Pete' and 'Jaime-from-the-Valleys' (between them they have achieved more posts than Royal Mail)
Most 'Re-incarnated' Poster of all time - including any forum, anywhere on the web, ever and ever - One contender, a person whose personal dictionary does not contain the words 'public embarrassment' - 'The Virgin Man'
Most mind-numbingly tedious, descending-into-chaos (pass-me-a-razor) thread of all time - Hidden somewhere in the depths of the property section - Joint nominees TTM & BurgerKing (TM)
Most in-depth, lengthy, far-too-difficult-to-understand, responses of all time - Nominee 'rain-keeps-falling-on-my-head' take your Guess ....
The only person in the world to hand out more bans than the head of security at Millwall Football Club - I won't name him for fear of banning (no-one likes us posters, we don't care)
'You've been HHAD' fits the bill.
