Hi there
Just wondering if anyone can help me.
I am visiting Hua Hin in May and i can't wait, while i am out there i want to buy a couple of nice watches for myself, ii like the look of Gucci and Tag Heuer watches. Does anyone know of any shops in hua hin where i can buy copies of particular watches that i like? If so, are the prices good and are they good copies?
Any help would be appreciated.

You can get these copies everywhere in BKK.
The only trouble is the custom clearance when you go back. In Paris Charles de Gaulle, it's getting stronger and stronger. I don't know how it is in other countries, i.e. in the UK...
Anyway, I'll ask my son what are the best spots in BKK to get good copies.

I just got a telecon with my son. He told me that you can get them in MBK. Usually, you have lots of small shops in Patpong where you can get one. My son got one in Phuket.
You have to be very careful as quality may dramatically vary.

Easy...
When in BKK, take the BTS (Skytrain) up to Siam.
When in Siam station, change and go to National Stadium.
MBK is in front of the BTS station.

there's a guy with stall opposite the Mai Tai bar in the evenings, who consistently has better quality stuff. Take him a picture of the watch you want, or a selection of them, and they'll have a certified copy in a couple of days if they don't have one already.

MBK means Mahboonkrong (thaļ : มาบุญครอง)
It's a very big Mall. One part is MBK. The other part is Tokyu, a Department Store. You can go directly from National Stadium BTS station to Tokyu, go on the 4th floor and then cross Tokyu on you left handside so that you can reach MBK. This will avoid you to go down in the station and to walk outside.

Thanks for this Jim, my parents used to visit this bar a lot last time they went so hopefully il venture there on my travels in may :-) n fingers crossed the guy with the stall is there!
